We really enjoyed our one night at the Eagle View, whilst returning from the far North. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. All was very clean and exactly as described on the website. Breakfast was superb; one of the best smoked salmon and scrambled eggs breakfasts I've ever had (and I've had quite a few!). We will definitely book Eagle View again when our travels take us in that direction. Thank you again

A nice place in a central location and a very good breakfast with nice staff.

Eagle View Guest House is a place to remember. It provided us with a welcome overnight's stay, breaking the journey from Glasgow to Skye. Our bedroom was spacious with plenty of room to hang clothes and to stow cases. The bed was good and very comfortable. The bathroom was more than adequate, if a little small, but with an efficient, hot shower and with good quality toiletries provided.Everything looked newly done-up and was squeaky clean. Breakfast excellent.Thank you.

Spacious an comfortable rooms (we were travelling with our grown up son). Good location in Newtonmore, with a choice of places for evening meals, although some would need to be booked.Decent choice for breakfast, which was nicely cooked. Also choice of cereals, etc.The only slight problems we had ws that the wi-fi dropped out regularly and we couldn't get the t.v. in our room to play any channels. We didn't really miss these, so it wasn't worth disturbing the hosts.

It was a wonderful stay in Eagle View Guest House. Very warm and friendly. The breakfast was fantastic.

2 hours drive from Ullapool having arrived from Stornaway on the 18.15 Ferry this made the perfect overnight stop on our way home to Sheffield from cycling the Hebridean Way. 1 mile off the main road and with local amenities including a grill for an evening meal, a local pub and a fuel stop this hidden gem was just what we needed. An excellent breakfast with plenty of choice set us up for the long drive home. We would definitely recommend Eagle View and readily stay again

This was business trip requiring overnight accommodation after a 17-hour day. I couldn’t have been more pleased - my room was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped. As I was arriving late, everything was left out for me to get into the room quickly. I had to leave early next morning and the delightful owner gave me a first rate breakfast ready for my 400 mile drive. A great place, thoroughly recommended!

A very nice house. Everything looks freshly refurbished, the bed is comfortable and the room is cozy. Guests share a nice living room with espresso coffee machine, as well as a garden. A nice home made breakfast is included in the price of the night.

Great welcome. (Sound advice to book somewhere to eat in the evening. There aren’t many choices in the wee village) Parking on site. Sparklingly clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Windows open, so fresh air all night.Then came the breakfast. Menu offers a wide range of fresh and cooked food. Bacon was of the highest quality. Golden yellow scrambled eggs with fresh spinach were superb. Thank you. We’ll be back

A very warm and friendly welcome on arrival - our room was gorgeous, sumptuously decorated and the bed was incredibly comfortable, soft cosy quilt and lots of cushions. Bathroom had a spacious shower with plenty of soft towels. Everywhere was immaculately clean and smelling fresh. Big, voluptuous heavy curtains added to a feeling of luxury and we slept really well. Breakfast is outstanding. The dining area is bright and welcoming, l the tables are laid out beautifully and the menu is a delight. Great tasting coffee and a plentiful choice of fabulous food including, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, poached eggs with spinach as well as a complete Scottish breakfast among other choices. The bread that made up the toast was delicious,we chose brown seeded toast and it was fabulous. Our breakfast was made out of quality ingredients, beautifully cooked, presented and served...and was plentiful. We are very happy and contented customers - we would go back without hesitation. Thank you so much for looking after us so well.

This was a lovely place to stay, tastefully furnished and comfortable, with a spacious lounge reserved for the use of guests.We were warmly welcomed, and everything was spotless and well maintained. The bed was wonderful and we slept well! The breakfast was amazing, with flexible choices, and gluten-free needs were well attended to. Mobility issues were also dealt with thoughtfully. This is a quiet spot, surrounded by trees and gardens, with facilities in the village nearby, and a good Co-op, open till 10.00pm. We would gladly return!

It is a very cozy and warm place to stay thanks to the to the owners disposition. The breakfast is super, we specially recomend the waffel with fruits.

The rooms were really well decorated with attention to detail. Everything you can need was there. Comfortable stay. Great breakfast. Lovely host and great service. Far away better than expected. Even the house has a saloon for the guest to play, have a coffee, etc. To say something that can be negative for some people, our room had a great bathtub in the middle but no way to have a shower (and you can choose a room with a shower then no real problem)

From the first encounter the Eagle View Guest House impressed by taking care of our bicycles and showing us to the two upstairs double bedrooms with ensuites.The lounge downstairs with complimentary tea & coffee was well appointed. Excellent well presented breakfast and menue selection.

I travelled up to Scotland for the Loch Rannoch marathon and stayed at the Eagle View Guest House - the rooms were gorgeous, super comfortable beds, and the owners were incredibly friendly and went the extra mile accommodating my vegan diet for breakfast. Eagle Vieuw guesthouse, is one of the few remaining guesthouses that radiate warmth and hospitality. This year, 2022, I have noticed that many have stopped and have seized Covid to stop.The guesthouse has nicely furnished rooms and breathes something rural with a modern touch.The breakfast is a thick fine, homemade waffles with red fruit to enjoy. Or do you go for a full Scottish breakfast, that is also very tasty. Because of its location outside the center you do not have all the hustle and bustle of, for example, the weekend crowd.For us this was a nice final destination after we had walked the Speyside way.

We had a three night stay at the Eagle View and absolutely loved it. We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are choices of cold and hot breakfasts which were delicious and very filling.We would definitely recommend the Eagle View and we hope to visit again.

I arrived mucky and smelly from walking across Scotland from Dornie en route for Montrose. It was the only B&B on my route - the rest was wild camping and a couple of campsites. It was, in fact, a real treat and the breakfast saw me through till well after lunch whilst crossing the watershed over to the source of the River Feshie!

I stayed for three nights in this excellent B&B. The public rooms were lovely. Moira was very welcoming and unfussy. It was such a treat to have breakfast fresh cooked to order with lashings of hot coffee and toast. I walk alone and Moira was happy to take details of my daily route in case something went wrong. When I come back to do Ben Alder I will certainly stay here again.

We stayed here for a week as a center point for walking.The room was warm and welcoming, very clean with everything that we needed for our stay. You could not fault breakfast - my husband had a full Scottish breakfast every day and I had something different, nothing was too much trouble. Moira, (The owner) was so knowledgeable about the area and would suggest points or walks that may be of interest to us - we were never disappointed. Well recommended and we hope to go back sometime next year.

Easily the best accommodation on our journey, and for a very decent price! I can't say much about the surroundings because we arrived late in the evening in the rain, but we were very glad to get out of the rain and into this cozy hotel! The bed was comfy and warm, with an amazing shower to match. Breakfast was delicious and very generous, with two courses that went way beyond the standard bacon and eggs or the continental.The staff were super friendly and we felt right at home. I'm sad we only stayed one night!

Moira being the consummate host, you really can not go wrong staying at the Eagle view. Everything is pristine and the cosy room is just what you need after long travels or days of activities. The breakfasts were utterly superb and really set you up for the day ahead. She has all the local info you need and you'll be ready to visit again, just like we are!

We stayed a couple of nights at the Eagle View, Moria was very welcoming and the place is spotlessly clean, breakfast is good and hearty to prepare you for the day's activities. The room we had isn't particularly big with a bed to match but comfortable enough. Our bathroom only had a shower although I noticed there were rooms with baths if that's your thing. Like most (but not all) of the accomodation in Newtonmore it is situated on the main road which can be a little noisy first thing in the morning. Overall we were pleased with our stay and would stay again. Thank you for being so hospitable.

After a long day of driving, we were warmly greeted on arrival to a very lovely accommodation and offered tea or coffee.There was good, clear communication around new protocols regarding COVID-19 and we were very satisfied that the Eagle View were taking all precautions. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the centre of the town and walking distance to amenities.Our room was delightful and very tastefully decorated but the absolute star of the show was the bed.It was probably the best I have ever slept in any hotel anywhere! It was so comfortable, we didn't want to leave the next morning.Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and we were very well looked after from start to finish.The owner is so kind and friendly and could not have done enough for us.We are very grateful and will be returning on our next trip north.Thank you all.

I would highly recommend this accommodation.We were welcomed on arrival with tea and shortbread, which after cycling 54 miles was very welcome.The room was spotlessly clean with a lovely comfortable bath and plenty hot water. A good selection of different options for breakfast which was excellent.

Spotlessly clean. Strict Covid guidelines adhered to. Very comfortable bed and lots of hot water. Bedroom was decorated lovely with many individual touches. The communal lounge had two big comfy sofa's and was extremely comfortable to sit in, again, a lot of thought was put into the decoration and soft furnishings. The breakfast was excellent, hot and well cooked. Gluten free also catered for very well. Good choice of breakfast. Moira the host was very friendly and supplied tea and coffee on arrival in the lounge which was a lovely touch.

We arrived for a short break, flying into Inverness. An hour 15mins to the guest house.On arrival we were immediately greeted and welcomed into the guest house. Under the strict regime due to (COVID) it was a slightly different experience however The stay was first class.Room: the room was on the ground floor with good facilities, nice bathroom (on suite) again as mentioned due to restrictions no facilities like hair dryer, tea & coffee however on arrival this was all explained and we were told if we needed anything to use the bell in the lobby. The bed was very comfortable.Breakfast: A very comprehensive menu was available including cereal, fruit, varies cooked breakfasts with fresh tea & coffee. We didn't leave in the morning feeling hungry.Being a B&B there was no meals in the evening, again to make our experience the best possible we were provided cutlery in the dinning room so that we could bring food back if we wanted to.The location and guest house were perfect for break into the Cairngorms.

As this is the first time we've used holiday accommodation of any type since Covid restrictions were introduced, we were unsure how safe it would be.On arrival we were greeted warmly and safely and advised of all the precautions which had been put into place to ensure the safety of ourselves and the owners of the business. All were logical and reassuring. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were delicious - not to be missed! We stayed for 3 nights and cannot fault the welcome and facilities we experienced. Would definitely recommend .

Newtonmore is a great location from which to experience the Highlands. Eagle View Guest House met all our expectations. Spacious comfortable bedroom. Great breakfast Good restaurants within walking distance. The biggest plus for us was the nearby walking trails.

Warm welcome .. Comfortable bedroom with everything we needed . Guest lounge was the best we have had over a number of years travelling. Excellent breakfast tasty and different to normal. Walking distance to restaurant which is based in a hotel.

Good location. Nice house artfully decorated. Friendly. Just a good stay overall. We walked the Wildcat Trail and enjoyed what the community has done there. Hills, fields, river, streams, and forests.

Very welcoming hostess in a beautiful house. Room was perfect as were the other facilities in the house.Use of a bright and well equipped lounge area, with its own real coffee machine. Good restaurants literally 5 mins walk.The breakfast was so good I took photos of mine, and the menu, to send to my wife. I will be returning to this haven.

Perfect way to end our trip. Rooms were excellent and breakfast seemed amazing even if we did not have time to actually try the cooked breakfasts. Definitely a must go stay if you are in the Newtonmore area

Well located B&B for trips throughout the national park. We felt very well cared for and really enjoyed the excellent breakfast. Only the bed could have beeen a bit more comfortable.

Had a fabulous night at the Eagle View, excellent value for money in Newtonmore. Rooms have been refurbished compared to website. Moira was a great host and a fabulous breakfast

It would be very difficult to find a more hospitable host than Moira.To aid an early morning appointment, our breakfast order was taken the evening before and cooked fresh before normal hours.Her recommendations for evening meals was spot on.

We were very well looked after at this beautiful guest house. The guest room was as pretty as a picture with very comfortable bedding and the breakfast was delicious with a wonderful selection on offer. I had a crumpet covered in fresh Scottish raspberries,the creamiest yoghurt,honey and spices , whilst my husband had the traditional poached egg served atop wilted spinach and smoked salmon. The guest house is a short walk from a good local pub which turned out to be veryconvenient as we arrived at about 8pm quite tired and hungry after our long flights from Australia. I would definitely recommend this guest house and it's charming hostess. It was also a good stopping point for us between Edinburgh and John O' Groats. Newtonmore as we discovered is also home to a very good museum on the Clan McPherson so a bonus for those of that clan or who know others of that clan.

Grate place, very comfortable bed and room. Very friendly host. Standing up taking a shower would be nice. That is my ownly negatieve point. It was lovely.

Only planned to stay for three nights but wished we had stayed longer. The room was very spacious and scrupulously clean. Breakfast had an assortment of food and cooked on request so was always fresh. The location is at the end of the the Main Street, easily found when visiting and well signed with adequate parking and close to a number of restaurants/bars. Very friendly owner and would happily recommend a stay when visiting this area.

Arrived as a small mixed group of cyclists heading from Inverness to Dunblane. We received a very warm welcome, secure bike storage, comfy beds & a great pre-97mi cycle breakfast!Highly recommend for a comfortable stay in Newtonmore

The stay at the eagle view was just amazing. we really enjoyed to stay at this cosy place.The breakfast was perfect and cook with love. The stuff was nice and looked good after us.

You can tell this house is well loved and beautifully adorned and decorated by the owner. Moira? was very welcoming and looked after us superbly. Our room was spacious, warm and inviting and our bed was fantastically comfortable. The shower was enormous and exceptionally clean, as was our room. Our breakfast was well cooked and delicious. Our purpose for staying was that we were touring the South and North Highlands and this stayover was fantastic.We were advised of an Inn 2 mins walk away where we had a very homely well cooked meal, delicious. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Moira.
